I'm currently a high school student , where can I find an internship?
If you're in the US check and follow USAJobs regularly, they have some internships (though mostly for college students I think) and most are paid. They're meant to help fast track students into federal gov jobs, especially with the Pathways program. Also check local gov job sites. I would also suggest getting comfortable with related skills, practicing on your own. Practicing will help you get internships in college and help with your studies. I'd start with getting comfortable with different citation methods, particularly APA (I used that in political science and public policy classes as well as sociology courses) and Blue Book citations. The Blue Book is used by law firms and law schools, it's the citation method used in practice. It will also help you if you practice reading and writing related pieces, like case briefs. Brief cases but also try to find practice writing things like memos from assignments for law school writing courses. You can find Youtube videos on how to write for them. Google Scholar also has free access to cases, and you can find federal bills and policies from gov websites (look specifically for the CFR/code of federal regulations) for executive branch policies. If you have anything you're passionate about or curious about any legal questions, write a memo about it for practice using proper citations Good luck!
