I think this question should be answered by legal counsel. If the PBC signed an agreement not to receive anything in return then the sponsorship is probably ok. Remember non profits are not owned by anyone and all funds must be spent on the charitable acts it was formed for whereas PBC are stockholder owner and aim to make a profit while giving a portion to a charitable use.
